"Avengers" Short Gets An Official Poster

Those Chitauri warriors just left their alien tech laying all over the ground. DIBS!

Entertainment Weekly got an exclusive look at the Item 47 poster debuting at Comic-Con this year.

The concept of this short, debuting in San Diego before coming to DVD with the Avengers in September, is pretty cool. In superhero movies we always see the good guys win, the bad guys die, and the city get pulverized in the process. But what happens afterwards?

What would happen in real life, obviously. People of questionable morals loot the dead alien bodies and proceed to devolve into a life a crime using their newly acquired super weapon.

If you're going to be at SDCC this weekend, iTunes has your first scavenger hunt clue. Good luck finding the screening!

This is a somber way to kick off the biggest weekend in nerd culture. The 53-year-old woman was struck while trying to cross the street to secure her place in line for the Twilight panel.

Source: vagueonthehow

According to The San Diego News, at around 9:20 am local time the victim was dashing across a crosswalk when she was struck by a Subaru Outback.

Witnesses say the woman tried to stop when she realized the oncoming vehicle, driven by a 67-year-old man, was not slowing down but tripped and fell into the car. She was rushed to the emergency room with extensive head trauma but doctors were not able to save her.

Police are questioning the man that hit her but neither the name of the victim nor the driver has been released to the public. Despite this, the hashtag #RIPTwiFanG has sprung up on Twitter to start funds for a memorial service.
